Emily Osborne

Emily is an interdisciplinary thinker who cares deeply about a range of policy issues, and is particularly passionate about youth involvement. She joined the Young Digital Leaders of Canada to help amplify young voices in internet governance conversations.
Emily is a Policy Research Associate at the Canadian Shield Institute, a new think tank focused on advancing modern sovereignty solutions for Canada, and a Fellow at the Canadian Anti-Monopoly Project.
Previously, she worked at the Centre for International Governance Innovation and was a 2025 winner of Global Affairs Canada’s International Policy Ideas Challenge. Her commentary has appeared in the Globe and Mail, Tech Policy Press and Financial Post. Emily holds a Master of Public Policy and a Bachelor of Arts and Science, both from McMaster University.
