The iSAFE Hackathon 2026 is a global innovation challenge designed to harness technology and generative artificial intelligence to address emerging threats in online environments, bringing together diverse stakeholders from around the world. The Hackathon features multiple tracks, from synthetic media to digital citizenship, with the goal of creating solutions that advance internet safety, digital trust, and the ethical use of AI.
Robotics for Good Youth Challenge
Canada (Deadline: May 9, 2026)
A UN-based robotics championship that invites students aged 10 to 18 to develop solutions to real world problems. The program offers a unique blend of technical learning with the development of soft skills such as teamwork, project management, and critical thinking. Participants design and build a robot to complete a mission based on the specific challenge identified for the year.
Generation Connect Young Leadership Programme in Partnership with Huawei
The Generation Connect Young Leadership Programme (GCYLP) is meant to engage young digital leaders and changemakers, supporting community-driven projects aimed at creating a more inclusive and empowered digital future. The ITU, in partnership with Huawei, provides guidance and financial support to 30 young fellows per year to enable them to practically implement digital development projects in their communities.
