James Caldwell

Director of Advocacy

James Caldwell is the Director of Advocacy for the Young Digital Leaders of Canada. He is a graduate of Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Commerce, Major in Entrepreneurship, and afterwards worked for an HR tech startup in Moncton. James’ passion for community building inevitably led him to an interest in politics and government. He graduated from Carleton University’s Master of Political Management program in 2022 and now puts his political insights to work in non-profit advocacy. James joined the YDLC as he knows firsthand the struggles rural youth have in internet access and wants to amplify rural voices. A fun fact about him is that he ran his own homemade soap business for several years.
