Liam McKay-Argyriou

Liam is an undergraduate at Simon Fraser University, where he studies communication as a Loran Scholar. He is passionate about using digital policymaking, public engagement and storytelling to empower Canadians to use technologies in a healthy, safe manner. Liam has pursued this goal through hosting community workshops discussing media literacy and AI, as well as participating in the Centre for Media, Technology and Democracy’s Gen(Z)AI Youth Forums. An alumnus of the Canada Youth IGF Travel & Accommodations Honorarium Program, he joined the YDLC team to earn from its vibrant community of leaders and to support other young Canadians getting involved in conversations surrounding digital governance. In his free time, Liam enjoys singing his heart out with his university’s vocal jazz choir!
