Mira Gillis
Chief Operations Officer
Mira Gillis is the Chief Operations Officer of Young Digital Leaders of Canada, where she leads national youth engagement initiatives at the intersection of technology, policy, and civic participation. Based in Ottawa, she brings experience across government, academia, and digital communications to her work.
Mira holds a Master’s degree in Media and Communications (Governance) from the London School of Economics, where her research focused on accountability in AI governance and the role of policymaking in shaping emerging technologies. She also earned a Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management from Carleton University.
Alongside her work with Young Digital Leaders of Canada, Mira has over three years of experience in the Senate of Canada, supporting parliamentary operations and the work of senators. She is a frequent speaker on youth engagement and digital policy, contributing to national conversations on the role of young people in shaping technology governance.
